This Privacy Policy explains how The Golden Girl, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Killer Sudoku or Splendid Sudoku (each, the "App") on iOS and Android.
This policy covers both Apps. Most of it applies equally to both. Where the two Apps genuinely differ, the difference is stated in a labelled box and applies only to the App named in it.
An account is required to play either App. When you create an account we collect your first name, last name, email address, and region. We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or precise location, and we do not ask for any of them.
Your gameplay itself — saved puzzles, statistics, and settings — is stored on your device and is not uploaded to us.
By using an App, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
Creating an account is required to play. At sign-up we collect and store:
This information is stored in our Google Firebase project and is the only information you provide that leaves your device. Your password is handled by Firebase Authentication and is never stored by us in readable form.
The two Apps share a single account system: one account signs you in to both. We also record which App an account was created in, so that we can support it correctly.
Your game progress, saved puzzle, statistics (such as games started, games completed, and best times), and settings are stored locally on your device. This information is not uploaded to us and is not synchronized between devices. There is no cloud sync of gameplay in either App.
Where you have consented (see the boxes below), we and our providers may collect:
Splendid Sudoku also records screen views (which screen of the App you are looking at). Killer Sudoku does not record screen views.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information.
Advertising data is collected only in an App that serves ads. See section 3, which states which Apps that currently is.
Neither App currently offers any in-app purchase. We do not collect or store payment information. If in-app purchases are introduced in a future update, they will be processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play, and this policy will be updated before that happens.
We use the information described above to:
Applies to: Splendid Sudoku and Killer Sudoku.
In an App that serves advertising, ads are provided through Google AdMob and may appear as banners, as full-screen interstitials at natural breaks, or as optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch in exchange for a benefit such as extra hints.
Advertising uses a mobile advertising identifier — a resettable, device-level identifier (Apple's IDFA on iOS, the Android Advertising ID on Android) that is not your name or email. Ads may be:
Which of the two you receive depends on your consent and your device settings. You will see ads either way.
Two separate permissions govern this:
You can learn about and control Google's use of advertising data here: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
Analytics and crash reporting are provided by Google Firebase Analytics and Google Firebase Crashlytics. In neither App is this data collected without consent. The two Apps obtain that consent differently, so each is described separately below.
Analytics and crash reporting are off by default. Nothing is collected unless you turn on “Share usage data” under Settings → Privacy. That control is always available, and turning it off again stops collection.
Analytics and crash reporting are governed by the consent prompt shown where required by law, and collection does not occur without consent. Where that prompt is required, you can review or withdraw your consent at any time from Settings → Privacy → Manage consent.
Analytics and crash data that has already been sent is held by Google under Google's own retention policies. Withdrawing consent stops further collection; it does not retroactively delete data already collected.
We use the following third-party services, each of which may process information as described in their own privacy policies:
These providers act as our service providers and/or independent controllers depending on the data and jurisdiction. We do not sell your personal information.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only:
We maintain user accounts, and you can delete yours at any time by either method:
One account covers both Apps, so deleting it removes your access to Killer Sudoku and Splendid Sudoku together.
What deletion does and does not cover, stated plainly:
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following:
To make a request, contact us at amit.saxena@sarusinc.com. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
We retain your account and profile information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, that information is deleted as described in section 7a. Analytics, crash, and advertising data are retained by our providers according to their own retention policies. Game data stored locally on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the App.
The Apps are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at amit.saxena@sarusinc.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Note for the developer/publisher: If an App is instead intended to appeal to or be marketed to children, this section — and that App's advertising and data-collection configuration — must be revised to comply with COPPA, Google Play Families Policy, and Apple's Kids Category requirements. This is a material decision that affects both the policy and the technical setup.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypting data in transit using HTTPS. Access to your stored profile is restricted to your own signed-in account. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the one in which you live, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice within the Apps. Your continued use of an App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
